Kranjska reber (1435 m)
Starting point is Črnivec pass (902 m). To get to there exit the highway for Logarska dolina and drive until you see a left turning for Gornji Grad. Pass the settlement dwarfed by a huge cathedral and follow the ascending road through Nova Štifta until you reach the Črnivec pass. You can park at the restaurant.

Find the blazes across the road from the restaurant. Following them shouldn't be a problem since the path is new. The former path was completely wiped out as 400 hectares of the woods that once grew on the slopes over Črnivec. In early 2008 a tornado completely devastated once beautiful forest. The path here isn’t the most beautiful one but gives a good understanding of how powerful and unforgiving nature can be.

Soon you reach still healthy forest that gives shade in hot summers. Here the blazes are hard to follow so you have to use your orientation instincts. If you follow the path into the wood you’ll be good.

In the last third of the hike you reach the pastures of Kranjska reber also known as Kašna planina. In summer cows dominate the meadows here. Little watering places make the ambient very memorable and cozy almost fairy tale like.

The top offers beautiful vistas over almost whole group of Kamnik – Savinja alps on one side and Menina planina, Velika planina, Lepenatka, Veliki Rogatec and Raduha on other.

The hike from Črnivec to the top will take 1 hour and half of your time.
