On Ljubljana – Maribor highway exit for Šempeter, a settlement close to Celje. Once in Šempeter, follow the signs for Jama Pekel (Cave Hell). For the hike pass the parking space at the cave until you reach the crossroad. Park your car there and find the macadam road that is blocked by a toll-bar.

Follow the macadam road through the forest. The path is really nothing special as you will reach the top in good 20 minutes.

You should combine this hike with the cave visit. Cave Hell has the highest publicly accessible waterfall in Slovenia. Also around the cave there’s a tutorial forest trail very suitable for children to get to know nature.
