This is barely a hike as it lasts aprox. 15 minutes so it qualifies more as a walk to the vantage point over Šempeter.

To get to the starting point you must ecit for Šempeter on Ljubljana – Maribor highway. Šempeter lies cca. halfway from Ljubljana to Maribor, near Celje. When in Šempeter turn left in Jama Pekel direction. After you cross the railway, turn left in Grušovlje direction. Pass Spodnje and Zgornje (Lower and Upper) Grušovlje and then turn right towards Zalog pri Šempetru. After that drive straight without any turns. The road gets steep at some point and you leave the car at the water collector.

Pass the road and take the one that goes uphill. The road passes a few houses and goes through vineyards. Once near the top you will need to make a sharp left turn into a thin forest onto a macadam road.

On top there's a electricity post and a view opens over Šempeter and Lower Savinja valley. There's also a bench where you can rest and enjoy. From Kadunec to Jama Pekel (cave) it takes a good hour of easy walking.
