To get to the starting point at Geoss (Geometrical Center Of Slovenia) you must exit the highway on Trojane for Izlake / Zagorje direction if coming from Celje / Maribor direction. Then follow the sing for Moravče and turn left for Geoss. The sings will take you to the bigparking space. If coming from Ljubljana exit for Krtina and Moravče. The follow the road towards Moravče and Zagorje and when you come to Kandrše turn right for Vače and Slivna (also Geoss). 

 

From the parking space head towards the monument that is right in the center of Slovenia. The path is just a few meters ahead and turns right into the forest. After a while it crosses a road and turns sharp left into the forest again. The path goes slightly up, no steep parts really. 

 

When you exit the forest you will see a chapel where you turn left towards the mountain hut on Slivna. From here you can also see a beautiful church of St. Neza on Slivna. From the chapel there's just a few meters more to the hut.

 

The hike takes about 30 minutes and if you want to visit a highest peak of Slivna, Pivkelj, it will take another 30 minutes, but the top has no view so it's up to you... Return by the same path.
