This is a beautiful hike suitable for families with children. It is not demanding at all and on a clear offers beautiful views over almost half of Slovenia.

To get to Gore you must follow the Zidani Most direction from Celje. Drive through Laško and when you get to Rimske Toplice turn left towards Hrastnik. Follow the road and when you get to Marno make the sharp left turn towards Gore. The road will take you through settlement Turje. When you get to the hut on Gore, park on a big parking place and find the sign for Kopitnik.

At first you must follow the road downhill, but soon the blazes will lead you into the forest. You will cross the road a couple of times.

Afet about half an hour you will get to the plateau, grassland and from here on the hiking really gets beautiful. There are point where you can see Triglav, Ojstrica, Raduha, Gozdnik, Šmohor etc. from this part. You will also pass some deserted farm houses that you'd want to »adopt« for yourself.

After a while you'll come to a crossroad: koča (hut) or vrh (top). Of course we want to get to the top and the vantage point as soon as possible that's why we take the right turn. From here on you'll need aprox. 20 minutes to reach the top that offers a beautiful view on Savinja and Sava rivers and on Veliko Kozje right against Kopitnik.

When you're done enjoying the views follow the same path back to the crossroad and go to the cabin for some hot tea (in winter) or cold beer (in summer). To get back to Gore, you must go behind the hut and the just follow the blazes. The whole hike lasts 2 hours and 15 minutes (just walking, with the top).
