First you need to get to Blagovica so just follow the directions given in Špilk hike. Once in Blagovica turn right if you’re coming from Ljubljana direction or left if you’re coming from Celje direction when you see the sign for Golčaj. Follow the road until you reach the macadam road. Leave the car there.

Follow the macadam road through the forest. You will see the red and yellow blazes that mark the European Walking Route E-6. You will pass the grassland and soon the church of St. Neža under the top of Golčaj. The church is from 15th century and offers beautiful views over the Alps. You can also see the neighbor Špilk. By the church there are ruins of former village that was burnt during the Second World War.

Top of Golčaj is 3 minutes from the church. On top there are no views. You will find a monument to fallen partisans here.

The hike lasts 30 minutes in one direction and is suitable for people of all ages.
