This is basically a forest walk that will take you about two hours of wondering through thick Pohorje woods (in one way of course).

First you have to get to the starting point. On a highway Ljubljana – Maribor exit at the sign for Rogla and then follow the road through Zrece. Rogla is one of the most popular ski resorts in Slovenia. Once on Rogla, follow the signs to the hut »Koca na Pesku« or just »Pesek«. That is where you start for Klopni vrh.

At the hut head East into the forest. The path will go up and down (nothing steep). At some points you will cross the macadam road and will have to jump over small creeks, especially after rain.

Once you reach Klopni vrh there's a register book and a stamp and that's practically all you can do, as there are no views. Maybe you can look for some mushrooms as there's plenty on Pohorje.

If you haven't brought any snacks with you, you are probably hungry now. Then you should descend to the hut on Klopni vrh (»Koca na Klopnem vrhu«) which is 15 minutes away. Ricet is the dish you want.

With full stomach and after a couple of homemade spirits (borovnicevec is made out of blueberries) follow the same trail back to the car.

Ps. for better orientation make sure you buy the »Pohorje« map in any of the huts or at the Tourist info center on Rogla. It costs around 7€.
