Vremščica is a karst plateau, a heaven for flower lovers, paragliders and hikers that enjoy easy trails.

Starting point is in Senožeče. Exit highway for Razdrto and then follow the signs for Senožeče. Once you reach the town be careful for the Vremščica sign at the road. You can leave the car on the parking lot by the main road accross the bus station.

Then follow the marks through the settlement and soon you will reach the macadam road. After a while you'll get to the pasture where donkeys, a typical karst animal, graze. You can freely stroke them.

Then follow the marks and the path will lead you through a forest. After a while you will reach the plateau and first beautiful views open. Follow the ridge through the forest again and you will reach the top after an hour and a half as you started from the car.

From the top you can literally see half of Slovenia. The sea, Julian alps, Kamnisko – Savinjske alps, Nanos, Snežnik… Enjoy the view, get some colour and don't forget to use sunscreen to avoid sunburns as the sun can be really powerful.

Use the same path to get back to the car.
