This is the walkthrough the secured climbing path to Storžič that stands on the far West end of the Kamnik Savinja Alps. 

 

From the highway Ljubljana - Jesenice exit for Tržič and then drive through an old city. At the end of it turn right towards Lom pod Storžičem. Stay on that  road that soon becomes an macadam and follow the signs for Dom pod Storžičem. In front of the hut there's a big parking space. 

 

From the parking space head to the forest in the Storžič direction. After about 5 minutes you will come upon a sign leading you on the right path towardsŽrelo, a secured climbing path. After half an hour of walking you will enter the superbly securedclimbing path. There's a lot of iron ropes that will help you and a lot of pitons. The path is really steep but not difficult. You will enjoy every step. Don't forget the helmet!

 

Once you exit Zrelo a beautiful view opens. But do not stay too long as you still have about an hour to the top. It can be risky in / after wet weather so be careful when walking the ridge.

 

Once on top you can admire the views onKaravanke, Julian Alps, Ljubljana basin, Kamnik Savinja Alps...

 

For the descend we recommend the Škarjev rob path that will take you back to the Dom Pod Storžičem where you left the car.
