A »must do« when visiting this part of Slovenian Alps.

It's my favorite spot in Logarska valley. Short, diverse and with plenty of beautiful views. Best place to start is at the TIC point in Logarska valley by the hotels, from where you have magnificent view over a big part of Kamniško-Savinjske Alps. 500 meters further up the road you turn left in the woods by pension »Razpotje« (Crossroads). The path is clearly marked.  Be alert for another big sign 5 or 10 minutes later so you don't go straight on as you end up at Rinka waterfall which is also a beautiful spot, but that's another hike.

Untill this sign we've been walking on a flat ground, now the path slowly starts to turn up and the soil becomes more and more rocky. Soon you find yourself almost climbing at some points, but nothing to be afraid of. As always, you must be extra carefull in the rainy weather or after the rain when rocks are wet and slippery.

Close to the half way of the path you reach a tunnel, a really interesting and beautiful part of the path. It's always slippery, so be sure to use the iron rope that stretches through entire length (about 20m) of the tunnel. When you come out, a beautiful view and a small spring of icy fresh water awaits you. Take a small rest, a picture or two, a sip of water and enjoy the nature.

Very soon after tunnel you find yourself in woods again. It's a bit steep at some points, but far away from demanding. Ten minutes before you reach your destination, another path joins yours, this one starts at »Dom planincev« pension, situated some 2km up the road from »Razpotje.« By my humble opinion it is less diverse and I prefer the one we started much more. There are couple of pitons on one sloap to make your walk easier and some wooden »stairs« as well. Pretty soon you are at Klemenča jama and that's a place where I can spend hours watching mountains that embrace this beautiful spot.

Be sure to afford yourself a hot dish, »jota« is very reccommended, not just by me. Another delicious dish served by Martin and Bernarda (a couple that runs the hut) is dumplings with dry peer, »žlinkrofi s suhimi hruškami«. If you're not hungry you can sit down, have a beer or a tea (homemade, hand picked) with honey and enjoy the view over Ojstrica, mountain that dominates this corner of the Alps. By far my most admired mountain I've seen and been  to so far.  Besides Ojstrica, Klemenča jama is a good starting point to Strelovec and Krofička as well. If you are keen to do one of them, but it's a bit late for it, you can sleep over there too.

The whole path from TIC in Logarska shouldn't take you more than a good hour or so. If you walk a bit faster, you can do it in about 50 minutes. All in all a beautiful wallk, also suitable for children in the guarding companion of an adult.
